A UK-based man has recounted an awkward encounter involving a married couple, after the husband allegedly discovered that his wife had lied about her whereabouts.

According to the man, the woman had told her husband that she was going to his house after church to see his newborn baby.
He said the husband, who had worked only half a day, decided to leave work around 3:30 p.m. and head straight to his house, expecting to meet his wife there.

However, upon arriving, the husband reportedly realised that she was not there. He called her to ask about her whereabouts, and she allegedly told him that she was at the man’s house and had even commented that his baby was “really cute.”

The man said the situation became particularly uncomfortable when the husband was confronted with the fact that his wife was not actually at his home.

“I hate that all of these happened in front of me. I don’t even know how to react… when she told the blatant lie, man looked at me in disbelief, you could see the shattered look on his face.”
According to the narrator, the husband eventually left for home. Before leaving, however, he transferred £450 to the narrator’s wife, reportedly for the baby.
