Responding to critics in a follow-up video, DJ Switch doubled down on her stance. She questioned the outpouring of respect for Buhari, arguing that the former leader left behind a legacy of failure.

“Please tell me what is Buhari’s achievement apart from destroying Nigeria. When you are a bad leader, people will drink to your demise, but when you lead with fairness, people will mourn when you die,” she said.

She added, “I don’t need to prove my empathy to anybody. When I saw that news, it was like justice. Next on the list, T-Pain, how far?”

DJ Switch, who gained global attention for live-streaming the #EndSARS protest in 2020 at the Lekki Toll Gate, has remained a vocal critic of Nigeria’s leadership and governance.
