The actor, who reportedly passed away on May 11, 2026, after battling metastatic kidney cancer, was laid to rest in his hometown in Arochukwu, Abia State.

A service of songs was earlier held for him in Lagos on June 10, 2026, before the final burial rites continued in his hometown, where his wife was also present to pay her last respect.
