Nigerian influencer and entertainer Yhemolee has responded to growing speculation surrounding his marriage, following a series of cryptic posts that sparked rumours of trouble between him and his wife, Thayour.

The couple, who got married less than a year ago, became the subject of intense online debate after Yhemolee took to social media with messages hinting at emotional strain.

In one post, he advised men not to “die for any woman,” suggesting such sacrifice would only bring loss. In another, he reflected on the power of solitude, stating, “Isolation initially looks like punishment, but something powerful happens in the silence.”

The posts quickly went viral, with many interpreting them as subtle confirmations of a marital crisis. But in a fresh statement on Thursday, Yhemolee shut down the rumours and aimed at what he described as “online in-laws” hungry for drama.

“I wasn’t expecting any less from them. As dem no see food chop since from me, them go cook werey chop for themselves,” he said, dismissing the public’s interest in his personal life.

He continued by urging men to prioritise their wellbeing, using the Netflix drama The King’s Affection (TKAM) as a metaphor.

Referencing a viral video of a man emotionally breaking down over his wife’s actions, Yhemolee condemned the insensitive reactions it received, saying: “You need to see the comments of the daughters of Jezebel. Hence, my outrage. Shalom.”

“Agenda must agend. So even if I get crisis na, people wey never chop since yesterday I go come tell? My family dey go enjoy life like this. Make una dey there dey cry for Ijegun,” she added.
