Comedian Basketmouth has explained why he mocked Wizkid during Davido’s traditional wedding a couple of weeks ago.
Recall that following the internet release of his alleged competitor Davido’s pre-wedding images, Wizkid garnered attention with his mysterious tweets.

Basketmouth responded by saying that Wizkid’s post was unnecessary and that Davido’s wedding was dominating social media.

Basketmouth revealed in a recent video that he purposefully used Wizkid’s shade in his tweet as a marketing ploy since he knew it would cause a stir. The actor-comedian together said:
“Wizkid is my guy, what I did was a marketing technique, I knew it was edgy, it would get people talking and it did what I expected it to do, it worked in my favour”.
