“We didn’t give birth to twins” – Adekunle Gold clears air on rumour, speaks on daughter’s love for music

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has addressed rumours surrounding his family, clarifying reports that he and his wife Simi welcomed twins.

Speaking during a recent interview, the music star also opened up about his marriage to fellow singer Simi and their daughter Deja’s growing interest in music.

“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter, and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for music as well,” he said.

Adekunle Gold went on to dismiss online rumours claiming he and his wife recently welcomed twins.

According to the singer, the reports making rounds online are false, adding that they only have a son to their daughter.

“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins. It’s just internet rumours. We have a son,” he added.

It would be recalled that late last year, a viral musical pregnancy video of the family caught the attention of many online, with Simi heavily pregnant and announcing that they were expecting their second child.

Weeks later, rumours circulated across social media claiming that the couple had welcomed twins.
