Nigerian TikTok personality Peller has advised Nigerians to consider marrying people from other ethnic groups, claiming that marriages between people of the same tribe may not work.

In a statement circulating online, Peller specifically cautioned Yoruba people against marrying fellow Yoruba people and Igbo people against marrying fellow Igbos.
“ You need to marry another tribe, don’t marry from the same tribe,” he said, adding that he could not marry a fellow Yoruba woman.

Peller, who said he married a Benin woman, also referred to his own parents, who are both Yoruba, while explaining his position.

He acknowledged that his comments might offend some people, saying, “Make Una no vex,” as he continued to encourage Nigerians to consider interethnic marriages.
