Davido’s babymama, Amanda, has sparked reactions online after sharing a controversial theory about the Lindsay Clancy m¥rder trial.

 

Amanda, who uses the Instagram handle @laplubelle, shared an image of Lindsay Clancy on her Instagram Story and appeared to suggest that Clancy’s husband may have been responsible for the deaths of their children and the attempt on Clancy’s life.

 

In the post, Amanda wrote: “Yall think she did it? I think the husband k+lled the kids and tried to k+ll her too 😭”

 

Her comment comes after Clancy’s closely watched trial ended in a mistrial on September 4, 2026, after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict. Clancy is accused of strangling her three children in 2023 before attempting to take her own life. Her defence argued that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors maintained that she was criminally responsible.

 

The mistrial means Clancy has not been acquitted or convicted, and the charges remain pending as prosecutors consider whether to retry the case.

 

Amanda’s post quickly generated reactions from Nigerians, with some questioning her opinion while others suggested she was being sarcastic.
