A Nigerian man’s encounter with an Uber driver has left netizens in disbelief despite filling up the driver’s tank.

‎The driver, identified as @Kecyy on X (formerly Twitter), described the incident, which occurred last month, as a horrible experience.

Man’s Encounter With Uber Driver Sparks Buzz

According to @Kecyy, during the trip, the driver stopped at a filling station to buy ₦5,000 worth of fuel, which surprised him.

 

Eventually, he ended up filling the driver’s tank, costing about ₦70,000, and dashed him ₦50,000 as a gift.

”So I asked the fuel guys to fill up his tank which cost approx 70k. In addition to that I also gave him 50k as a gift. He told me I should always feel free to contact him if I ever need a ride“, The tweet reads in part.

 

Man Left In Disbelief Over Uber Driver’s Request

Meanwhile, he booked the driver to take him to the airport for his 7am flight the following day.

 

However, upon arrival at the airport, the driver requested twofold the ride fee due to peak time, leaving him in disbelief.

 

In his now-viral tweet, the entrepreneur admitted recalling the incident still pisses him off.

 

‎”Till today I still have that flashback and I get angry over again when I remember it. Not exactly angry because of the money. That said young man just lost a beautiful opportunity to know me better and probably get an opportunity to work with me beyond that day”, He added.
