“I Still Don’t Know What Happened”- Kate Henshaw Speaks On Fallout With Genevieve Nnaji

Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has opened up about the change in her once-close relationship with fellow star Genevieve Nnaji.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Tea with Tay podcast, Henshaw recalled that the two actresses were previously very close and were often seen together, earning a reputation as good friends within the Nigerian film industry.

However, she noted that over time, their relationship gradually faded without any clear or specific reason. According to her, the closeness they once shared simply reduced as the years went by.

Kate admitted that she still does not fully understand what led to the distance between them. She suggested that issues of trust might have played a role, but emphasized that she cannot say for certain what actually caused the shift.

She further explained that people often expect a definite explanation when friendships change, but in her own experience, the separation happened slowly and remains unclear to her.

“We grew apart. Maybe she had some kind of mistrust about me… I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what came over her,” she said.
