“If I become unfaithful sexually, let me die” — Canada-based Nigerian woman confesses to her husband

A Canada-based Nigerian woman has publicly taken the same marital oath after her husband earlier vowed never to cheat on or divorce her following his relocation abroad.

The woman, identified as Ezinne Maryjane Nwanorue, shared a video in which she made a series of solemn promises to her husband, Franklin Chimaobim Nwanorue, declaring that she would remain faithful throughout their marriage.

The couple’s videos have since generated widespread reactions on social media.

Wife responds with her own public declaration

In the video, Ezinne introduced the message as her personal confession to her husband before making a religious vow.

This is my own confession to my husband, Franklin Chimaobim Nwanorue. I, Ezinne Maryjane Nwanorue, I confess in the name of Jesus that I will remain faithful to my husband, sexually. And if I became unfaithful, let me die, in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

She also pledged to remain a loving wife and a devoted mother to their children, praying for God’s grace to sustain their marriage.

“I also confess that I will continue to be a good wife to my husband and a good mother to our children. And I pray that God help us, give us the grace to build a healthy marriage and a godly home.”

The woman further prayed that their union would positively impact others and serve as a model for families across the world.
