“APC should bring the money to me, they cheated cubana chief priest” — Portable fires shots at socialite

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola has sparked reactions online after openly mocking socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, while declaring himself the better choice for political campaigns linked to President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Portable, known for his outspoken nature and frequent social media rants, made the remarks in a viral video days after Cubana Chief Priest claimed that some persons in Tinubu’s political circle do not fully trust him because he is Igbo and once worked with Peter Obi during the 2023 elections.

The nightlife entrepreneur had also boasted about receiving support and gifts from political associates.

Reacting to the controversy, Portable claimed Cubana Chief Priest was sidelined after being used politically.

They cannot cheat me the way they cheated Cubana Chief Priest. They cheated him and shifted him. Maybe the money he paid them was not enough. You even lost election to an old man. Are you the one telling people to vote for Tinubu?” Portable said.

The singer also criticised Cubana Chief Priest for allegedly failing to carry out meaningful projects in his community despite his wealth and influence.

“I am the real voice they need”

Portable insisted he would be more useful to the APC if given the opportunity.

You went to your village to share garri but you didn’t sink borehole for your people. I am a Yoruba man, they should use me for this. APC should give me the money instead of wasting it on you. I am ready and available,” he added.

Portable previously declared support for Tinubu during the 2023 presidential campaign and has repeatedly aligned himself with prominent political figures online.
