British music channel, MTV Base reportedly b@ns Marlian music

Popular British music channel MTV Base apparently banned Marlian songs after the passing of popular Nigerian musician Mohbad.

The owner of the record company Marlian Music belongs to Nigerian artist Naira Marley, who was accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s unfortunate demise.

Recall that Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Records, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, for unknown reasons.

Because of the singer’s controversial passing, some national radio stations have outlawed all of the Records Label’s music.

Ehizojie Okoeguale, aka DadaBoy Ehiz, a popular TV host and employee of the MTV music channel, announced the ban on Marlian music on Wednesday, adding his name to the growing number of music platforms that have done so.

In a post shared on his X, Okoeguale wrote: “MTVbase dropped everything Marlian. Kudos to dem.”
