Kano orders closure of school kidnappers buried abducted girl

Kano State Government has ordered the immediate closure of a private school, Noble Kids Academy, at Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa Local Government Area, where the body of an abducted girl, Hanifa Abubakar, was buried by arrested suspects.

Corpse of the five-year-old girl who was abducted in November 2021, at Kwanar Dakata in the metropolis by her teacher, Abdulmalik, was discovered in the private school. The teacher and his gang member killed and buried the minor, despite collecting part of the N6m ransom they demanded.

Kano Commissioner for Education, Muhammad Kiru announced closure of the school. He also said the state government would commence investigation of unregistered private schools and teachers to check such criminal activities.

Parents whose children attend the private school, have been asked to stop them from doing so pending the completion of investigation.
