Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, an aged woman, has stated her intention to vie for the presidential seat in the 2023 general elections.

Ezeanyaeche who is a 102-year-old woman from Aguata, Anambra state, is dubbed as the “living legend” or “Mama Africa.” She is the creator of the Nigerian group “Voice for Senior Citizens.”

The presidential hopeful, who has yet to become a contender, had gone on a courteous visit to the management team of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, wherein she stated her willingness to run for The presidency if the country’s younger generations are not prepared.

As per a Sahara Reporters story, Caro Nwosu, the group’s president, reported Ezeanyaeche as saying:
“If Nigerians are shying away from political participation, she says she is ready to contest. She has already prepared a manifesto for herself. She has the vision. If the good ones don’t come out to contest…”
