Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has revealed that she lost ₦5 million after placing her first-ever football bet.

Sharing the experience on her Instagram page, the actress said the loss had convinced her never to bet again.

According to Destiny, the experience was emotionally draining, adding that the anxiety she felt during the wager was overwhelming.

She also joked that she was done watching football following the loss.

The actress wrote that it was her first time betting, that she lost ₦5 million, and that she has no intention of trying it again.

She said …

“First time betting and I lost.
Will never try it again.
My 5M gone.
In fact, I’m done watching football.
Anxiety almost killed me”.

Recall that  after defeating defending champions Argentina 1–0 after extra time in a tense final at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

Substitute Ferran Torres scored the decisive goal in the 106th minute, securing Spain’s second World Cup title and ending Argentina’s reign as world champions.
