During a lecture in his church, the man of God claimed that excessive use of social media platforms had caused many marriages to fail.

According to Apostle Suleman, most young people rely on marriage advice they get from social media and other online resources and they’ve also utterly disregarded their elders’ guidance.

He said;
“The problem with Africa, Europe, and America, is that technology has made us feel so independent. That is why marriages don’t last again,”

According to Apostle Johnson Suleman, in the past, both families would conduct thorough investigations to determine which family their child would be marrying into before a woman or a man entered a family. The majority of these activities, however, are now disregarded by the youth due to several advancements.

“When you go to your father and you want to marry, they will check the girl. They will do a thorough investigation. They will check her father’s side. They will check her mother’s side. They will check how their family is. Then they will say ‘My son, you can’t marry that girl.’ And you will agree,”

He continued by saying that the majority of marriages do not last since no additional checks are made before both partners are legally married.

“In those days, marriages last 50 years. In the days of love, the days of I’m in love, marriages cannot last 3 years,”
