Social media activist, Verydarkman has claimed that Afrobeats singer Burna Boy once warned him about the consequences of standing up for Nigerians.

He made this known while speaking in a recent video shared on social media.
Verydarkman said Burna Boy cautioned him that the same Nigerians he was fighting for could eventually turn against him if given the opportunity.

According to him, advocating for Nigerians can be exhausting because people often abandon those who defend them.

He also referenced the backlash Burna Boy faced following an incident at his UK show, where the singer reportedly asked an individual to leave the venue.

Verydarkman criticised Nigerians who joined calls to cancel the singer over the incident, despite his status as an international artiste.
