Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife and a traditional monarch, is reportedly preparing to take another wife, Titilayo Ashabi, which would make her his seventh spouse.
Ogunwusi has been associated with several notable relationships throughout his life. His first child, Adeola Aanuolouwapo Ogunwusi, was born in May 1994 to Omolara Olatubosun when they were both teenagers residing in Ibadan. Although they never formalized their relationship through marriage, they have successfully co-parented Adeola. In a November 2021 interview, Omolara disclosed that Ogunwusi was largely absent during the formative years of their child’s upbringing.
In 2008, Ogunwusi entered into marriage with Adebukola Bombata, but the couple parted ways in 2016. He subsequently wed Zaynab Otiti Obanor from Benin in March 2016, although their marriage concluded in divorce, which was finalized in August 2017 after Zaynab initiated the proceedings.
In October 2018, Ogunwusi married Prophetess Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi. However, in December 2021, Naomi announced their separation via Instagram. This announcement was later disputed by the palace, although Naomi continues to maintain a public presence.
Between September and October 2022, the Ooni married six women. His first marriage during this period was to Mariam Anako, an Ebira native from Kogi State, on September 6, 2022. The following day, he wed Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda, an indigene of Ondo State. Tobi Phillips, hailing from Okitipupa in Ondo State, became his third wife on October 9, 2022.
On October 14, 2022, he married Ashley Afolashade Adegoke, a princess from Ile-Ife, and then on October 20, 2022, he took Ronke Ademiluyi, another princess from Ile-Ife, as his fifth wife. Finally, on October 24, 2022, Asake Temitope Morenike Adesegun was added as his sixth wife.
Recent speculations circulating on social media suggest that the Ooni of Ife is planning to marry Titilayo Ashabi, potentially making her his seventh wife.
