Mechanic cries out after being accosted, extorted by Police, VIO and LASTMA in one day

A mechanic identified as Akorede Adepoju has cried out online over the recent encounters he had with three law enforcement agencies in one day in Lagos state, Nigeria.

He went on his WhatsApp status to share his experience after being accosted and extorted by officers of the Nigeria Police, VIO, and LASTMA while driving in the state.

A screenshot of his WhatsApp status was shared by a client @DeGentleman_ who wrote; ”Lmaoo. My mechanic had encounters with police, lastma and VIO in one day. Came to rant on Whatsapp 😭😭😅”

Akorede revealed that he was first stopped by a VIO officer in Oyingbo and he received query for having a cracked windscreen. The official tried to make him pay N40k fine but after calling the car owner who explained the situation, he was only let go when he gave N5k.

As he was just driving out of the VIO office, he was stopped by a police woman who accosted him for beating traffic. He explained the reason but she refused to listen, however, he found an opening to escape when she was speaking with someone else and he drove off.

To make matters worse, on that same day, he used an ATM in Alagomeji, and as just as he got into the car, LASTMA officials swarmed him and were set to penalise him for not using belt.
