Comedian DeeOne has criticized Afrobeats superstar Davido over his absence at the wedding of music executive Soso Soberekon, saying the singer should have attended considering Soso’s support for his career over the years.

Speaking in a video shared online, DeeOne questioned why Davido failed to show up for the ceremony, insisting that Soso had played significant roles in the singer’s journey.

“After everything he has done for you, you couldn’t even attend his wedding,” DeeOne said, sparking fresh debate among fans on social media.

The criticism comes days after the lavish wedding of Soso Soberekon and Princess Ebiere, which was held in Warri, Delta State, over the weekend. The star-studded event attracted some of Nigeria’s biggest entertainers and celebrities, including Toke Makinwa, Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo, Peller, Jarvis, Teni, Cubana Chief Priest, Juma Jux, and several others. Videos from the glamorous ceremony dominated social media, with fans discussing the celebrity appearances, fashion moments, luxury displays and performances.
Despite the celebration, Davido’s absence quickly became one of the biggest talking points online, with many fans questioning why the singer did not attend. However, there has been no public statement from Davido explaining his absence.
