Mbappe and Yamal offer strong competition

Yamal, meanwhile, scored 25 goals and registered 20 assists, giving him 45 goal involvements. Although his totals trail Kane’s 81 and Mbappe’s 71, the Barcelona winger excelled creatively, recording 265 dribbles across Europe’s top-five leagues.

The 19-year-old also helped Spain win the World Cup, despite a hamstring injury disrupting his preparations. He is seeking to become the youngest-ever Ballon d’Or winner.

Kane’s domestic success and scoring numbers give him a strong case, while Yamal’s World Cup triumph and Mbappe’s individual goal-scoring achievements could influence voters. The outcome of the 70th edition of the award will be revealed on Monday night 9:00pm (WAT).
