Nollywood actress, Grace Bassey, joins the US Navy and is sworn in as a US citizen, marking a remarkable milestone.

The 33-year-old actress, formerly known as Belinda Effah, announced on Instagram that she recently graduated from US Navy boot camp as a sailor.

Her post was accompanied by a photo showing her in military uniform, expressing gratitude to God, family, and supporters.

According to Grace Bassey, this milestone honors her late father, Naval Aide Bassey Effah.

Her post reads ,

“Last week, I graduated from U.S. Navy boot camp as a Sailor and took the oath as a citizen of the United States. Nigeria raised me. America challenged me. I stand today stronger and more determined than ever. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. This is just the beginning. In Honor of my Late Father – Naval CDR Asido Bassey Effah”.

Notably, Grace Bassey is an award-winning actress, recognized for her talent, including the Most Promising Actress of the Year award at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
