After trying to buy an iPhone 13 with counterfeit currency, a man was caught and shamed.
According to reports, the suspect went to Circle Mall in Ghana to purchase the phone using counterfeit Ghana Cedis. However, he was captured before he could leave with the device.

A video of the man being flogged was posted online. People were recording him.
He begged for leniency, but it was not enough. However, the owner of the store where he tried to buy the phone was reported to have alerted police.
