Popular gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack artiste Onos Nancy Brisibi has passed away at the age of 55.

Her family confirmed her death in a statement released on Thursday, revealing that she died on March 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness.

“The Brisibi family announces with deep sorrow the passing of esteemed sister Onos Nancy Brisibi, who transitioned to glory on March 23, 2026, after a protracted illness.

She will be remembered as a beautiful, fun-loving woman with a heart of gold, whose faith, warmth, and kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew her,” the statement reads.

The family described her as a devoted  uplift many, noting that her voice and ministry touched countless lives.

They also paid tribute to her personality, remembering her as a kind-hearted and passionate praise leader whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Tributes have continued to pour in from the entertainment industry, with actress Stella Damasus describing the loss as painful, while veteran broadcaster Emma Ugolee called it a devastating news.
