The US-based serviceman, whose identity has not been officially disclosed, shared screenshots of past insults allegedly directed at him by the Nigerian soldier.

He said he decided to respond after months of being taunted over his decision to leave Nigeria and enlist abroad.

I just finished from work, heading home in my car to my own house. Life is good. The Nigerian you’re protecting is inside my car. Meanwhile, you’re still inside the bush suffering without a car or a house. You sit online every day insulting me, yet you don’t know the struggles people go through before they find better opportunities. I chose a different path and it worked for me.”
