A Nigerian lady has shared her terrifying experience of entering a taxi in Abuja, only to be abducted by suspected organ traffickers who demanded five million naira from her or threatened to take her life and sell her body parts.

The lady, whose name was not disclosed, said the incident occurred recently and described it as a day she would never forget.

She recounted how she was heading home from work on October 15, 2024, when a taxi stopped at her usual junction and offered her a ride.

Moments later, she found herself in the hands of three men who blindfolded and assaulted her.
In her words: “On this faithful day, a day I can never forget. On the 15th of October 2024, I was coming back from work. There is this junction I normally take a car back home.”

“They stopped right in front of me, they asked where I was going to, I told them and they said I should enter. There was a driver, a guy in the front and another one at the back.”

“I entered, after we were seated for about 2 minutes, we passed this bridge and they immediately wound up their glasses. I was so confused. They told me to bend my head down. They blindfolded me and tied my hands together.”

She said the men then revealed their true intention. “They told me that they are not one chance, they are not kidnappers, that they sell parts to big people and if I do not comply, they are going to kill me and sell my parts. I complied and everything they told me, I did.”

“They asked for my name, they asked if I was married. They took my phones, they unloaded my phone, they checked my account, there was no money in there.”

“They told me I have just two people to call. I called my mum. She assured me that everything is going to be fine. After a while, they called her again and told her I am in trouble, that they are going to kill me if she does not do as they say.”

“They called her again and said that she should send them five million naira.”

“After a while, I called my elder sister, she told me everything is going to be alright. My mum was running around to raise the money.”

“They allowed me to call another person. I called my friend that put me in the place where I work. She called our boss and our boss said he was going to give them money, but we did not have up to that five million naira.”

She said the situation became worse. “Inside all this, I was beaten. They beat me to the point that I did not even understand what was happening. They told me to remove my dress. They undressed me. The one in front was questioning if I am married. The next question was why I am busty. Then they started beating me again.”

“He was beating me. They asked me if they should stop at a place where they would not collect ransom but they would all make love to me. I begged that they should just wait a little while, that my parents are going to come up with the money, but he said no, that he cannot wait, that it has to be done.”

“I did not tell my mum this because I did not want them to look at me in some kind of way. I did not tell them I was raped in the car, I just told them that they just beat me because I am embarrassed.”

“They raped me in the car. They were taking turns. After a while, they snapped me and sent it to my mum, that they are going to kill me if they do not bring ransom now.”

She explained how they began receiving money. “Around 8 pm, my mum came up with one hundred and fifty thousand naira, so they sent it to them through my Access Bank account. At a point, one stopped to withdraw the money and he brought it. We started going. They told me they were going to a place where I was going to be killed.”

“After a while, my boss, where I worked, sent one hundred and fifty thousand naira again to my account and begged them to release me. I guess they were tired. This was about 10 pm. I spent about six hours with them with all this happening inside the taxi.”

“After they withdrew the second one hundred and fifty thousand naira, around after 10, they stopped under a bridge and told me to come down.”

“Someone saw me, gave a shirt to me, and took me to where I boarded a car back home.”
