Davido Remembers Late Son Ifeanyi in Heartfelt Post

Afrobeats superstar Davido, born David Adeleke, has once again remembered his late son, Ifeanyi David Adedeji Adeleke, in a heartfelt tribute shared on social media.

Taking to his official page on (formerly Twitter), the singer wrote a simple yet emotional message:

The post instantly resonated with fans, many of whom flooded the comment section with condolences, prayers, and messages of support.

Ifeanyi tragically passed away on October 31, 2022, after a drowning accident at the family’s Banana Island residence in Lagos. The heartbreaking incident occurred just days after he celebrated his third birthday on October 20.

Following the tragedy, the Lagos State Police confirmed that an autopsy conducted determined drowning as the cause of death. At the time, eight domestic staff were taken in for questioning, with six later released, and two detained for further investigation.

In the aftermath of the loss, Davido took a break from the public eye and later returned with the release of his 2023 album, “Timeless.” While the album did not include a direct tribute to Ifeanyi, Davido explained he chose to keep the project uplifting rather than somber.

In October 2023, marking one year since Ifeanyi’s passing, Davido honored his son’s memory once again by sharing a dove emoji, symbolizing peace.
