The drama started when Wumi Toriola publicly called out Chef T for allegedly snubbing her request for a collaboration on her cooking show. Unhappy with the perceived rejection, the actress blasted the professional chef online.
In response, Opeyemi Famakin made a video praising Chef T as one of the finest food bloggers who consistently supports and collaborates with others, especially those she respects. He also made it clear that he would not tolerate slander against her, particularly from an actress.

This did not sit well with Wumi Toriola, who wasted no time in clapping back at the food critic. She accused him of being a coward for shading her without directly mentioning her name.

“Dear Opeyemi,
There’s really no need to act like a coward. My name is Wumi Toriola, and I’m merely responding to your tantrums and desperate need for attention — if it brings you even a shred of relevance, I truly don’t mind,” she wrote.
She went further to criticize Famakin’s credibility, dismissing his career as a food critic and accusing him of doing more harm than good to struggling entrepreneurs.

“It’s rather amusing, though, coming from someone without a defined career or any tangible job description. You’ve caused more harm than good to struggling entrepreneurs, all under the guise of being a self-appointed food critic,” she continued.
Wumi concluded her statement with a sharp jab, advising him to establish a successful career or business before attempting to criticize her.

“Next time you feel the urge to come for me, perhaps take a moment to reflect, establish a long-term career or build a successful business of your own. That way, your words might carry a little more weight,” she added.
