Rita Edochie defends May Edochie against backlash over son’s posthumous birthday

Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, addresses backlash against May Edochie for not acknowledging her son, Kambilichukwu’s posthumous birthday.

Recall that May Edochie’s estranged husband, Yul Edochie recently marked their son’s posthumous birthday with a poignant tribute.

However, May’s decision not to publicly acknowledge her son on social media sparked curiosity and backlash from netizens, prompting Rita Edochie to address the controversy in an Instagram post.

Rita Edochie cited Yul Edochie’s actions following Kambilichukwu’s passing, privately mourning and moving on through social media.

Addressing critics, the actress questioned if a virtuous woman like May Edochie needed to be taught how to mourn her son.

WHEN KAMBILI MY GREAT GENIUS OF A SON PASSED ON , HIS DEAR FATHER CHOSE HOW TO MOURN HIM , HE SPENT TIME IN PRIVATE MOURNING HIM , THEN BOUNCED BACK TO SOCIAL MEDIA TO FORGE AHEAD WITH HIS LIFE , YOU ALL COMPLAINED ABOUT IT AND LATER GAVE A CONCLUSION THAT A MAN OF 40 YEARS AND ABOVE MUST NOT BE TOLD HOW TO MOURN”.

“LAST WEEK WAS KAMBILI’S TWO YEARS OF EARTHLY DEPARTURE AND YOU MESSED UP NETIZENS ARE NOW TRYING TO LECTURE QUEEN MAY ON HOW TO MOURN HER OWN FLESH AND BLOOD ? “.

“DO YOU TELL A WOMAN AS VIRTUOUS AS QUEEN MAY WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO ON THE REMEMBRANCE DAY OF HER SON ?”.

“ON THE DAY KAMBILI WAS REMEMBERED, QUEEN MAY WAS ABSENT FROM THE MEDIA SPACE , SHE DIDN’T POST NOR STAYED ACTIVE”.

“HER FRIEND ANITA JOSEPH HAD A BIRTHDAY ON THAT DAY BUT WASN’T POSTED BY QUEEN MAY , IT WAS THE FOLLOWING DAY SHE CELEBRATED ANITA.  BUT DUE TO THE HATE IN YOUR HEART , YOU MAY NOT HAVE NOTICED IT”.
