Nigerian politician and businessman, Ned Nwoko, on Monday emerged the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Delta North senatorial district election.

Delta youths trooped out in their numbers to celebrate him after hearing the news of his victory at the primaries.

The former member of the House of Representatives scored 242 delegates votes to defeat his closest rival, Paul Osaji who got 67 votes.

This will be the third time Nwoko is contesting to represent Delta North in the Nigerian Senate.

In a video making the rounds online, his wife, Regina Daniels, and kids were also present during the celebratory event.
