Reacting in a video posted on her Instagram page, Ogbeide said she was not surprised by the reported split. She recalled watching Ovire shower Leonard with praise during their wedding ceremony, adding that she believed the glowing remarks were merely words at the time.
Ogbeide argued that Ovire may have noticed warning signs before the wedding but chose to proceed regardless. She maintained that a woman cannot transform a man simply by marrying him and suggested that the actress bears some responsibility for how events unfolded.

She further claimed that Ovire relied too heavily on prayer, stressing that faith alone cannot resolve every issue. Drawing a comparison, Ogbeide pointed out that despite the large number of churches in Nigeria, the country still struggles with numerous problems.

Sharing her perspective on marriage, Ogbeide said being excessively calm does not necessarily guarantee a successful relationship. According to her, a woman needs a strong personality and sometimes a bold edge to navigate married life. She added that people rarely abandon their established lifestyles after tying the knot.

Using herself as an example, Ogbeide described her own personality as unconventional, saying she would easily return to her former lifestyle if her relationship ended. She concluded by noting that after watching Ovire’s wedding video, she had already doubted the marriage would stand the test of time.
