Ycee calls for ban on POS after losing over N2 million

Nigerian rapper YCee has called on the government to ban the use of point-of-sale (POS) machines after disclosing how he lost N2 million.

The rapper took to his snap page to share how he lost over N2 million in 2024.

According to YCee, N2.7 million was stolen from his bank account in November 2024. He revealed that the unauthorized withdrawals were made using his ATM card, with a total of N2.7 million being stolen in three transactions.

YCee explained that first, N1 million was taken from his account, then another N1 million was stolen, and lastly, N700.

He later discovered that the money wasn’t stolen through his ATM card as he thought but rather through a POS machine.
