‘We were robbed’ — Fans recount ugly scenes at Davido’s Enugu concert

Davido’s Enugu concert at Michael Okpara Square ended in chaos on Saturday night as fans complained of overcrowding, harassment, and poor security.

Witnesses said the gates were broken and that many without tickets forced their way inside.

A user said touts entered the concert without tickets and stole valuables from people in the crowd. She also alleged that the security presence was weak throughout the night.

Another fan, described disturbing scenes of harassment and overcrowding, alleging that women were groped as people struggled for space.

She said Davido did not appear on stage until around 3 a.m., almost 12 hours after the advertised start time.
