A Ghanaian lecturer has said that a man or woman having sexual affairs with another person’s husband or wife is not a crime in Ghana.

He said that infidelity is not a criminal offence but a moral offence, hence why nobody can be jailed after being caught with another person’s partner.
The man spoke during an interview on Ghana’s BFS, noting that when he explained that to his students they were surprised.

The educationist said that one cannot report his wife’s lover to the police for him to be arrested or charged.

He explained further it it is grounds enough for divorce but it is yet to be criminalised by any state.
