Content creator Izzy Curious has stirred reactions online after calling out respected Nigerian figures Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Wole Soyinka over their perceived silence on the current state of the country under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu amid rising insecurity.

According to him, both men were more outspoken during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration but have remained silent despite worsening hardship in the country.

In his words, he said:
“You see these two men, these so-called highly respected elders, Pastor Adeboye and Wole Soyinka… These men had voices so loud when things were not this bad during Goodluck Jonathan’s era.”

Izzy Curious further claimed that their silence under the current administration is disappointing to many young Nigerians who once looked up to them as outspoken voices on national issues.
He also alleged that personal benefits and political interests may be the reason some influential figures no longer speak boldly about governance and hardship in the country.

“Now they find it convenient to keep quiet when things are horribly bad under Tinubu’s regime. Because of what is entering their pockets,” he added.
