The story, shared in a viral post on Friday, detailed how the lady requested a pair of slippers worth ₦11,000 after months of struggling financially.

According to the account, she was told by her partner that he was not making money because of her, only for him to later sponsor a birthday trip to Ghana.

“I told him to buy me slippers of ₦11k because I was broke and had been wearing one slippers to visit him for months. He noticed but did nothing, so I gathered courage to ask him, only for him to tell me he wasn’t making money because of me,” the lady said.

Ghana trip and breakup decision

The following month was my birthday, and he bought us a ticket to Ghana. We celebrated and had a nice time, but when I got back, I broke up with him because there was no point doing big things for me if he couldn’t grant the little I asked for,” she added.
