Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has opened up about her regrets over never having a white wedding, revealing the emotions that came with seeing herself dressed as a bride.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared a video of herself in a bridal dress after attending the premiere of Folagade Banks’ movie, using the moment to reflect on the wedding she never had.
According to Uche, she sometimes grieves not only what happened but also the future she once imagined for herself, including the dress, vows, celebration and forever she thought she was building.

“The wedding I never had. Sometimes, we grieve not just what happened, but what we imagined would happen. The dress, the vows, the celebration, the forever we thought we were building.

“Life didn’t go exactly as I imagined, but I’m learning that the story isn’t over. Maybe the wedding I never had was making room for a life I never knew I deserved,” she wrote.

The actress’ post comes months after she announced her separation from her husband, Bobby Maris, in July, stating that she was tired of being the “princess who married her” and had given him eight years of her life.
Uche had also questioned whether it would be after her death before the “crown of thorns” would fit her properly. Her announcement came shortly after Bobby shared a cryptic post stating that the crown of a wife was not meant for every woman.
