Sean Diddy’s prison new release date revealed

Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to leave prison earlier than previously expected after his projected release date was moved forward again, according to the US Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The 56-year-old music mogul is now expected to be released from the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, New Jersey, on February 5, 2028.

The latest adjustment moves his projected release date forward by more than two weeks from February 20, 2028, the date previously listed for his release.

Why Diddy’s release date keeps changing

According to reports, Combs’ projected release date has been changed several times since he began serving his 50-month federal sentence in October 2025.

His release was initially projected for June 2028 before being moved to April, February and January, before later adjustments placed it at February 20, 2028.

The reason for the repeated changes has not been disclosed.

The Bureau of Prisons previously told the Daily Mail that, for privacy, safety and security reasons, it does not comment on individual inmates’ confinement conditions, release plans or reasons for changes to release dates.

Combs was sentenced after a federal jury found him guilty in 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

Latest development in Diddy’s prison term

The latest adjustment comes after reports that Combs was involved in an altercation with another inmate at Fort Dix.

Reports said the pair pushed each other before punches were exchanged, after which guards intervened and Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement. Prison officials did not confirm the incident.

Combs’ representatives have previously denied claims that he violated prison rules, saying he remained focused on sobriety, self-discipline and personal growth.

For now, the Bureau of Prisons lists February 5, 2028, as Combs’ projected release date, although the date remains subject to further change.
