A young man was allegedly attacked by a squad of policemen in Delta State for an alleged bride.

The driver was apprehended at a checkpoint and reported for refusing to pay the N100 required pass fee, which enraged the uniformed men.

They were shown hitting the man with a baton and other objects in a viral video as passersby stood by helplessly.

He approached the police to return his car’s documents after they had taken them and removed his license plate number, but they saw his approach as a contention.

At first, he attempted to fight off the policemen’s attempts to beat him up, but they eventually overpowered him due to their greater numbers.

 

Even though the policeman were carrying rifles, the video tape shows one of them pulling a knife out of a pouch.

 

They allegedly threatened the victim, who has not yet been named, with death for defying their demands.
