The Anambra state police have arrested a native doctor allegedly working for gunmen in the state.
His arrest followed the kidnapping and beheading of the lawmaker representing Aguata II Constituency, Okechukwu Okoye.
It was learnt yesterday that the 70-year-old man was arrested in Unubi, in the Nnewi South council of the state. Some of his fetish items were recovered by the security operatives who effected his arrest.
While Chukwujekwu has been moved to Abuja for further interrogation, the three other suspects are in the Anambra command of the DSS where they are also being interrogated.
Governor Charles Soludo has since announced an offer of N10 million for anyone with useful information that would lead to the arrest of those responsible for the killing of Okoye.
Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed that security personnel have been tracking perpetrators of attack in the state.
