Peggy Ovire fires back at Taye Arimoro, denies all allegations in explosive legal response

Nollywood actress, Peggy Ovire has responded to her colleague Taye Arimoro after he filed a ₦100 million lawsuit against her, denying all allegations in a fresh legal filing.

The wife of Frederick Leonard described Arimoro’s claims as “misleading, selective, and materially false,” insisting that he is twisting the events of the incident.

According to Peggy’s legal team, the confrontation began when Taye was asked to return to the set but allegedly got into a heated argument instead.

The filing claims that he assaulted the production manager, Luke Obayi, and head-butted Peggy’s driver, Joshua Madu, leaving him bleeding from the ear and nose.

Witnesses reportedly gave statements to the police confirming Taye’s aggressive behaviour. Peggy’s lawyers added that any attempt to restrain him was solely to prevent him from fleeing before the police arrived.

They emphasized that Peggy never assaulted him, and the only physical contact occurred when she lightly pushed him after he allegedly tried to deflate her car tyres.

In a viral video last week, Taye Arimoro accused Peggy Ovire of assault on the movie set, claiming his car was blocked and his tyres deflated.

Peggy, however, countered his claim, insisting that he attacked her crew members, although CCTV footage later appeared to show Peggy making the first move.

Arimoro’s legal complaint demands ₦100 million and a public apology. Peggy Ovire’s filing, however, makes it clear that she will not back down.
