Pastor Dolapo Lawal advises Nigerians against lavish weddings without financial stability

Cleric Dolapo Lawal has advised Nigerians to avoid spending huge amounts on weddings without having important assets or financial stability.

Speaking during a sermon, the pastor said it is unwise for people to spend between ₦10 million and ₦20 million on wedding ceremonies when they do not own a car or other useful investments.

According to him, owning a car in Nigeria can serve as a business opportunity because it can be used for ride-hailing services like Uber during difficult financial periods.

While speaking to his congregation, he stressed that people should prioritize practical investments and financial security over extravagant wedding celebrations.

“You shouldn’t be spending N20 Million on a wedding if you don’t have a car, because right now in Nigeria, a car is a business opportunity. The day you’re hungry, you can use it for Uber. You have no business spending 15 million or 10 million on any wedding”
