In a video circulating online, the lady recalled how someone identified as Kegan repeatedly told her that Nigerians would only understand how bad things were at home after experiencing life in another country.

She said one of the biggest differences she noticed was the availability of stable electricity, explaining that people abroad did not have to carry power banks everywhere because electricity was readily available in their homes, schools and restaurants.

To illustrate her point, she recounted an experience at school where a lecturer asked her to print out an assignment for corrections. According to her, students could send their documents directly to printers around the university and simply tap their student cards to print their work without paying.

She contrasted the experience with her time in Nigeria, where she said printing her school project was expensive because printing businesses often had to rely on generators due to unstable electricity.

The lady also criticised the country’s education financing system, arguing that Nigerians were being made to struggle with school fees before being offered loans to cover educational expenses.
“They made you so poor that you cannot afford school fees, then they give you loans for school fees that are not even expensive to begin with. And you’re praising that person,” she said, questioning why Nigerians celebrate leaders despite the challenges they face.
