Nanyah’s family releases burial arrangements for singer who died from snakebite

The family of fast-rising singer Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly known as Nanyah, has released the official burial arrangements following her sudden death from a snakebite.

The 26-year-old reportedly passed away at her residence in Abuja on January 31, 2026, despite being rushed to a hospital.

Official Obituary Shared by Brother

Kingsley Nwangene, Nanyah’s brother, posted her official obituary on Instagram (@official_kaybaba1), revealing the dates and venues for the service of songs, requiem mass, and burial.

His post, captioned “Till I see you again,” has drawn an outpouring of grief and condolences from fans.

Lagos Service of Songs and Requiem Mass

The service of songs in Lagos is scheduled for February 10, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Abule Oshun, Dansa, at 4 pm.

A requiem mass will follow at 6 pm at the same venue, allowing friends, colleagues, and fans to pay their respects.

Burial in Enugu

Nanyah will be laid to rest in her hometown of Enugu on February 14, 2026. A Thanksgiving service in her honor will follow on February 15, giving family and fans a chance to celebrate her life and musical legacy.
