Olumide Ogunade, a renowned music producer and singer better known by his stage name ID Cabasa, has praised his wife for helping him recognise the potential in their union.

In the podcast With Chude, the singer recounted his marriage, including the difficulties it brought about and the inspirations that kept him going.

Before joining the league, the producer claimed that he had never considered marriage to be anything but blissful.

In response to a question regarding his marital status, he admitted that there are moments when he wakes up and wants to end the relationship.

He claimed that the main factor keeping him in his marriage with his wife now is her.

The singer of “Totori” recalled one morning when he was ready and willing to end it but changed his mind after reflecting on their shared history with his partner.

Cabasa recalled her assistance to him when he was a university student. She is a diamond he shouldn’t discard, he realised after that.

Despite his wife’s flaws the 48-year-old music producer continued, he is ready to work with her to help her become the ideal wife he wants. Considering that she has given him reason to keep pressing.

He claimed to have realised that his wife was the nicest thing to ever happen to him and that she is the reason he is happy now.

According to him;

“A lot of times I wake up and I just want to leave, but in all of those curiosities and disbelief, I have enjoyed marriage.
Because I think I married a friend, and I married someone that even when the chips are down, I really don’t want to leave.

People will say they stayed because of children, but I stayed because of my wife”.
