Recall that the couple traditionally tied the knot on April 13, 2025, in Evan Okoro’s hometown.
In a now-viral video, the actress revealed her desire to leave the marriage, alleging her husband threatened to kill her, if she follows suit.

According to Evan Okoro, she filed a petition against her husband, who was at the police station, amid her public plea for help.

“My life is more important to me. The shoe that I took home is not my size. I’m living in fear. Something strong is happening to me. If I don’t come out to say it, I don’t know where I will be tomorrow. He’s threatening my life. I don’t want the marriage anymore. I’ve been living in fear since”, She stated.
Evan Okoro disclosed that her husband hasn’t paid her bride price, and her family recently reached out to him for payment.

The actress emphasized that all efforts to rekindle the marriage have been futile, while cautioning him against harming her or her family.
Evan Okoro claimed her husband married her under the impression that she’s wealthy, pointing to her house as evidence, which she had built before their marriage.

“This guy married me thinking that I’ve money to spend. When he came into my life, I thought it was all love and I saw the way it was going”,She added.

She further revealed that her husband hasn’t been intimate with her since their wedding, and despite complaining to his family, no action was taken.
