Spending, a close friend of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has publicly denied rumours suggesting he is the biological father of Mohbad’s son, Liam Aloba.

The speculation emerged after a blogger shared a post on social media claiming Liam bears a striking resemblance to Spending.

The post quickly gained traction, fueling debates and renewed scrutiny over the paternity of the young child, whose DNA status has been a subject of controversy since Mohbad died in 2023.

Reacting via his Instagram story, Spending firmly dismissed the allegations, calling for an end to what he described as damaging and baseless claims.
“I’ve been seeing several bloggers insinuating I’m Liam’s father. This is not a joke for real!! To set the record straight, I’m not his father and I never had any affectionate relationship with his mother. Y’all need to stop spreading these false narratives” he wrote.

He further stated that he is open to undergoing a DNA test if necessary to put the rumours to rest.
“I’m happy to have a DNA done if required,” he added.
