“As a man, if you want to earn your respect from a woman, marry someone you’re richer than. If you marry a woman that is richer than you, you’re on your own. She will never respect you. As for me, I will marry a man who is far richer than me.

It is rare to see a woman that will respect a man she is richer than, because after some time she will lose respect for you and you won’t have control over her. Every man should also have a spec, and your spec should be according to your pocket, not like you’re earning ₦300,000 and going for a woman that is earning 500,000,” she said.

Her statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with many people debating whether financial imbalance truly determines respect in a relationship.

While some agreed with her stance, others argued that respect should be based on character, not wealth or status.
