The January winter Transfer window is currently open, and many football clubs around the world are currently trying to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season.
A host of many players have already made transfer moves to different clubs around the world in recent days, but we want to look at the latest transfer moves and done deals that have happened in the world of football this Sunday morning.
1. Insigne officially joins Toronto FC.
The 30 years old forward will link up with them after the end of the season on a free transfer, but the contract has now been signed and sealed officially.
2. Arsenal to sign a new midfielder.
Arsenal are preparing to sign a new midfielder this January transfer window. According to Fabrizio Romano, they appreciate Lyon’s Bruno Guimares, but thay are not sure they can sign him this January because of his €45million transfer fee.
They are also considering bringing on Juventus’ Arthur Melo on loan, but no official talks has been held with Juventus yet.
3. Barcelona open to selling Dest.
Barcelona are considering the option of selling right back, Sergino Dest this January. The young defender is no longer in Xavi’s plans, and could be sacrificed to reduce wages in order to register new additions.
Bayern Munich are said to be interested in signing him, and Chelsea has also enquired about him as they want to sign a new right back. Barcelona values the player around €25-30million, but Chelsea would like to sign him on loan initially with an option to buy.
4. Fiorentina officially signs Piatek on loan.
Fiorentina has secured the signature of Krzysztof Piatek on loan from Hertha Berlin. The club announced of his signing on Twitter.
Piatek is going to join them on a six months loan deal, as it looks like they are preparing for the inevitable exit of Vlahovic.
5. Barcelona still not able to register Ferran Torres.
Barcelona are still not able to register their new signing, Ferran Torres yet. The director of Barcelona, Mateu Alemany said that the club can’t register Ferran Torres yet because the Coutinho move to Aston Villa is still not enough. According to him, they will have to move out more players, but he confirmed that plans are already in place in order to help them register him.
Torres joined Barcelona from Man City this January transfer window, and will be hoping the registration is done on time, so that he might feature in the El Classico coming up this week.
6. Tuanzebe joins Napoli on loan.
Manchester United defender, Axel Tuanzebe has joined Italian club, Napoli on a six months loan deal. The signing was announced by the Napoli official account on Twitter.
The defender who was on loan at Aston Villa had to cut it short because of the lack of game time. Fabrizio Romano confirmed that it is just a straight loan deal with Napoli, and no buy option was included.
7. Barcelona sign Fabio Blancho.
Barcelona has signed 17 years old wonder-kid, Fabio Blancho from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The young Spanish winger signed a contract till June 2024, with his release clause set at €100million, and he is to link up with the La Masia team for now.
